Place the kidney and black beans (1/2 can) in a bowl and mash using a potato masher. You don’t want to put this in a blender or food processor because it will take away the beauty of the beans and make it look more like a dip. Add in all remaining ingredients and mix well. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to let set.
When cold, form into 1 inch thick patties or place in a circle mold and form into patties. You can either grill all of these now and enjoy or if you make some to keep for other meals, then wrap each in plastic wrap and place in a large plastic sealed bag and place in the freezer. When ready to use (from frozen), let thaw for about 20 minutes or place in a microwave to thaw and then grill.
